Why WEBBE-B exists.
WEBBE-B is an independent collection of focused browser tools built and maintained by Jisung Kim. The project started from a simple preference: small jobs should not always require a large account-based application, a subscription, or an upload to an unknown server.
One task at a time
Each WEBBE-B product is organised around a specific job. Examples include preparing an image at an exact print size, comparing repeating schedules, finding exact duplicate files, inspecting photo metadata, stitching screenshots, or comparing similar photos for technical sharpness. A focused scope makes it easier to explain what the tool actually does and easier for a user to decide whether it fits the job.
The hub and the product sites
webbe-b.com is the central directory. Individual products live on their own WEBBE-B subdomains and link back to the hub. The central tool directory is generated from one registry, so new products can be added without turning every existing tool into a dense network of cross-links.
What “browser tool” means here
Many WEBBE-B tools perform their primary transformation or calculation with browser JavaScript and browser file APIs. When a product says selected files are processed locally, the product-specific page should explain that processing model and any exceptions. The surrounding website can still make ordinary requests to hosting, security or advertising providers. The browser-local privacy guide explains this distinction in more depth.
How products are selected
A tool is a better fit for the network when the task can be stated clearly, the result can be checked, and the main feature can work without forcing a shared WEBBE-B account. The collection is not restricted to one category: image, file, finance, planning, creative and specialist utilities can all belong when they follow the same focused-product idea.
How releases are reviewed
Before a public release, the project checks the primary workflow, responsive layout, navigation, error handling, metadata such as titles and canonical URLs, and the presence of relevant privacy and limitation disclosures. AI-assisted development
AI systems may be used during implementation for code drafts, test ideas, documentation drafts or debugging. That assistance does not change the responsibility for the published result. Release checks cover public functionality and user-facing claims before publication, and a tool should not claim a capability simply because a generated draft suggested it.
Advertising
WEBBE-B may use advertising to support operating costs. Advertising does not determine calculator outputs, file hashes, image transformations or editorial guidance. Pages whose main purpose is navigation, error handling or another low-content action are kept separate from advertising where appropriate.
First-party Field Notes
The Field Notes document specific engineering decisions behind published tools: what a full hash proves, how a rename collision happens, why screenshot seams fail, where image repair loses context, and similar questions. This material is written as product documentation rather than generic tool-list content.
Editorial and corrections policy
The editorial policy explains authorship, AI assistance, originality, corrections and the limits applied to higher-stakes topics. Major hub changes are recorded in the changelog.
