Standards

Requirements for a public tool.

A product is published when the main function, explanations and trust pages form a complete user experience—not when an empty template or isolated demo exists.

Original value

Each tool must provide a clear practical purpose, original implementation or explanation, and enough context for a user to understand what the output means. Generic filler and copied instructions do not satisfy this standard.

Clear navigation

The primary task should be easy to find. Main navigation and footer navigation should remain consistent. Broken links, forced redirects, deceptive controls and unfinished sections are not acceptable release states.

Responsive design

Interfaces should work with touch input and narrow screens as well as pointer input and desktop screens. Content should not require accidental horizontal scrolling.

Transparent limitations

Tools should explain important assumptions, exclusions and situations that require professional or physical verification. Financial scenarios remain separate from advice; print calculations remain separate from hardware calibration.

Advertising restraint

Advertising must not outnumber or obscure publisher content. Ads must not imitate menus, file-download buttons, calculator results or calls to action. Pages are designed around user tasks first.
